Earlier this month, we hosted our second annual cornhole event, which had such a great turnout! We hosted our event at Henry’s Bar in Garden Grove, where we had plenty of space to have fun mingling and playing cornhole. We also partnered up with Andy & Aiden Safety Group, a nonprofit organization that practices safety awareness and best practices for special needs families, delivered in partnership with local law enforcement.
We were able to hit our goal of having sixteen teams sign up to play! During the first hour of the event, we checked everyone in and handed out limited-edition “Cornhole for Confidence” t-shirts to all of the contestants. Half of the contestants played first, and then the other half played second. After each round, we kept track on the scoreboard to see which contestants would move on to the next round.
Throughout the event, we also held a silent auction, a bake sale, and had great music and good vibes going on inside Henry’s Bar. We were also selling tickets for our raffle for a chance to take home four baskets with goodies in each, which we announced toward the end.
It was a pretty hot day, but luckily, two brands that helped sponsor our event, Bloom Energy Drinks and NA Beverage, came in clutch and helped our contestants stay refreshed! It was such a great turnout, and we had a great time interacting with everyone. We hope everyone else had a great time playing and interacting as well. Thank you to all who came! We hope to see you all at our next events soon!
